Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is centrally located, allowing easy access to downtown Charleston attractions and boasting spacious rooms with charming period furniture and large bathrooms. The service provided by the staff was exceptional, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Dining options were basic, not meeting the expectations of a bed and breakfast setup. The location is ideal for exploring the historic district without the need for a car.
Staying at this hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, although very comfortable and true to the period, were quite spacious and well-decorated, but cleanliness was a bit of an issue due to the old structure. The service was excellent, with a charming and classy gentleman managing everything smoothly, even though there was a slight hiccup regarding confirming my reservation. The location, perfect for exploring the historic area of Charleston, was indeed convenient to everything, but the overall pricing in the city made it hard to judge the value. The dining experience, while in an attractive dining room with a typical local bread selection, was somewhat underwhelming. Despite this, the facilities were adequate without any standout features.
Wow! I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The rooms were spectacular-spacious, clean, and comfortable with a large bathroom. The service was superb, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location was prime, within walking distance of the best shopping and restaurants. The dining experience was great with a little something different each morning. Overall, a wonderful experience!
